What is the Conti NG-C

Transforming the Market from the ground up.

Let’s talk about how machines aimed at lower-medium volume outlets are traditionally viewed: they’re often thought to be cheap, clunky, and lack lustre, with basic metal panels, lots of plastic, clicky buttons, and outdated LED displays. Yet, when you look around, this breed of espresso machine dominates almost every sector. The majority of these machines are sold equipped with the bare minimum, as it’s the only option available—and that’s just not how we want to do things, so why not give them some long overdue attention.

So, we’re changing the narrative.

A bold new look.

The first step? Make it obvious. Our New Generation machines have a distinctive design that screams Conti. The sleek shape complements our flagship model, complete with futuristic light kits and bold colour accents against brushed steel. But it’s not just about aesthetics—practicality was key, too. The machines have a lower profile for better barista-customer interaction, centralized utilities for a cleaner underside, and improved usability across the board.

A machine for the modern café.

Modern cafés demand more than just great coffee—they need seamless workflow, top-tier hygiene, and consideration for staff wellness.

1. Workflow Optimisation:
We’ve introduced sure-grip steam levers for instant, precise control. The new control centre features a full-colour display, user-friendly buttons, and bright group lights, making every action more comfortable.

2. Enhanced Hygiene:
From a redesigned drip tray to a new group head design that’s easier to clean, we’ve simplified hygiene. By streamlining the front-end layout, we’ve improved drainage and minimized dirt-prone areas.

3. Barista Comforts:

Repetitive strain injuries are a growing concern in busy cafés. We’ve addressed this with:

  •  New steam actuators that eliminate the need for twisting motions. The wide lever can be operated with a flick of a hand, wrist, or elbow.
  • A smoother group head design for effortless portafilter locking, reducing strain in the wrist and elbow.
  • Redesigned portafilters with a tamping-friendly flat step and reassuring grip of the new bevelled handle.

Sustainability at its core.

Eco-friendly innovation is the foundation of the New Generation. Operational power consumption is reduced by up to 20% through insulated boiler jackets and optimized heating, without compromising performance. The ECO mode goes further, improving out-of-hours efficiency by over 40%.

What is the NG-C, and where does it fit?

The NG-C (New Generation CC) is the worthy successor to the CC202. Whilst performance & coffee quality have always been the 202’s strength, the NG-C takes a clear lead with its energy efficiency and slew of modern features. It’s already generating a buzz, and we expect it to fully replace the CC202 within the next few months.

But there’s more! The NG-C will offer several performance options which are coming soon. The base model can be upgraded to include a series of PRO modifications, closing the gap with the X-One EVO.

Got a CC202 Already? No worries!

We’re not leaving anyone behind. The CC202 will stay in stock for a while, and parts will remain supported for the next seven years. Business as usual!

How much?

We’re delighted to say that the NG-C 2 Group starts at £3,325 RRP. As of January 2025, the base model NG-C will be exactly the same price as the CC202. We’ll say no more.

Customisation?

Of course! Custom projects are always on the table. If you’ve got something special in mind, let’s chat before you place an order. That way, we can ensure it’s exactly as you imagine it.

How do I use a New Generation Machine?

We’ve worked hard to keep our New Generation machines feeling familiar while also updating some daily operations. To make things easier, we’ve launched a brand-new YouTube tutorial series for the NG-C, with more videos rolling out as new models join the lineup.

Beautiful on the inside.

Sounds unusual, right? But hear us out! Our New Generation machines are thoughtfully designed with someone very important in mind—your technician. Every machine in the range features modular units for serviceable parts. This smart design doesn’t just make servicing easier; it saves valuable time. Building on this we’ve changed how we build your machines; a new streamlined production process increases our efficiencies enabling us to invest more into materials and R&D, adding even greater value and quality reassurance.

Where do I get parts?

Just like with our current core range, most serviceable parts are universally compatible across all Conti models. For more NG specific parts, we’ve got you covered there too! We’ve already received stock, so just get in touch with our lovely service desk, and we can ship next day if ordered by 2:30pm.

What’s next for the New Generation?

While we don’t want to spill all the beans, keep an eye out for a 3-group NG-C. We’ll be launching the NG-X early next year, set to replace the X-One Series. Beyond that, the NG-E (CC100+ successor) is already in development. Exciting times ahead!

With these innovations, the New Generation isn’t just a new product line—it’s a huge leap into the future of coffee machines. Let’s raise a cup to what’s coming next!
